Trophy Run is absolutely the most comfortable, clean, and affordable place I have ever stayed. Cabins in a lightly wooded area with granite countertops and great Internet, heated pool and nice clubhouse. [/testimonial]

We love the concept that most of Trophy Run’s living spaces are individual cabins instead of the condo format. When we entered, we were immediately drawn to it’s rugged, rustic, charm.

The philosophy behind an Adirondack cabin pays homage to the beauty of the Ozarks

Raquette Lake Hotel - 1889 - StoddardIn the latter half of the nineteenth century the great camps of the Adirondack Mountains began to rise. These grandiose family compounds of cabins were built on lakes such as Spitfire Lake and Rainbow Lake. The camps were summer homes for the wealthy, where they could relax, host or attend parties, and enjoy the wilderness. The Adirondack’s buildings were recognized for their rugged finish and outstanding craftsmanship. The Adirondack style of building intrinsically tailors itself to its surroundings–in his book, “Great Camps of the Adirondacks,” Harvey Kaiser describes the architecture as being:

“Consciously sited in remote locations, characterized by the use of logs and indigenous stone, shingled roofs with broad overhangs and porches, and simply-proportioned window and door openings, these building complexes are among our most original examples of vernacular architecture.”

One can escape from the busy world and relax quietly on a tree-shaded deck or enjoy the lake. Access to hiking and mountain biking trails is literally right next door. Inside a Trophy Run cabin, you’ll find all the conveniences of home, including a well equipped kitchen, fireplace, sofa sleeper, cable LCD TV and media player, gas grill and outdoor furnishings. Guests to these charming cabins enjoy complimentary walking and bring-your-own bike privileges as well as horseshoes, kite flying, croquet, and other outdoor activities.

As one would expect, trout fishing is a cherished aspect of the  Trophy Run experience. With that in mind, each Trophy Run Cabin, and future cabins, have been named after a different legendary fly-fishing-pattern.
