Fishing at Trophy Run
Fishing at Trophy Run

One of Trophy Run’s two stocked ponds, part of our waterfront park overlooking Lake Taneycomo.
Trophy Run is sited on the shoreline of Lake Taneycomo, Branson, Missouri which is renowned as a world-class fishing destination. The section of Lake Taneycomo known as the “Trophy Trout Section” is Trophy Run’s front-yard, hence the name of our resort. Outside of the phenomental fishing on Lake Taneycomo, and nearby Table Rock Lake, Trophy Run is unique in having two stocked fishing ponds with bass, crappie & panfish, and catfish.
What makes Lake Taneycomo trout fishing so unique?
Since the water-level fluctuates often due to the Table Rock dam, Lake Taneycomo’s trout are unable to reproduce. Because of this there is a trout hatchery about a mile away from Trophy Run, the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery is the largest trout production facility in the State of Missouri Department of Conservation trout production program, producing about 1,125,000 catchable trout annually. Lake Taneycomo receives 700,000 catchable trout per year with 225,000 of these coming from the Neosho National Fish Hatchery in Southwest Missouri.
This means the area of the Lake Taneycomo that Trophy Run is sited on produces an astounding number of fish. Including the Trophy Run stocked fishing ponds, Trophy Run presents the opportunity for an angler of any skillset to catch the biggest fish of one’s life.
