Lake Taneycomo Trout Fishing Map
One of the true highlights of living in Branson is being in close proximity to Lake Taneycomo. This lake is actually a man-made reservoir that was created back in 1913. It is located within the Ozark Mountains and its name originates from the fact that is located within Taney County, Missouri. If you examine a Lake Taneycomo map, you will see that it flows downstream for about twenty-two miles from the Table Rock Dam to the Powersite Dam. Some people consider this lake to resemble more of a river, and its coldwater environment is ideal for trout. Ever since the state of Missouri created the Shepherd of the Hills Trout Hatchery, Lake Taneycomo has especially been a very popular fishing destination. Within its deep waters, some of the most prized rainbow and brown trout have been caught.
