Resort and Surrounding Area

Children and adults alike will be in wonder at all the critters and will have a great chance at seeing bald eagles that occasionally fish this area of Lake Taneycomo. This section of Lake Taneycomo is called Trophy Run, the resort’s namesake, for its numerous catches of trophy-sized rainbow and brown trout.

A sidewalk takes you over 700 feet along the Lake Taneycomo shoreline, meandering along the shore, to the upper pathway, then along a beautiful babbling brook. You can cross a lovely stone bridge and continue to your own secluded picnic area. Two waterfalls are in the brook that eventually falls 10 feet into a stocked fishing pond on either end. The brook is lushly landscaped with native reeds and water plants with many grassy areas perfect for a picnic with family or friends.

There is plenty of space for your family’s parking as well as your boat. And speaking of boats, the resort is within 5 minutes of State Park Marina with daily slip rentals and all types of watercraft for rent. Reserve through Trophy Run and save!

Trophy Run has a connector to one of the area’s best hiking/biking trails – over 10 miles of beautiful Ozarks wilderness and lakeside Missouri Parks system of trails. There are two trail heads for those systems within 1.5 miles of Trophy Run and one is on Trophy Run Road.

Common around the resort are whitetail deer, turkey, northern geese, ducks, cranes, foxes, coyotes, groundhogs, squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, and even roadrunners or chaparrals’, as they are sometimes called. There are tens of thousands of public hunting acres within a few miles of Trophy Run, all part of the Mark Twain National Forest. During certain hunting seasons, parts of the trails system adjacent to Trophy Run are closed for whitetail bow hunting.

Enjoy all that the Ozarks has to offer with fishing out your back door yet only minutes from theme parks and live shows. Enjoy basking poolside, gazing upon the Chateau’s profile across the valley.

Further, we are only 5 minutes from the Showboat Branson Belle and Dewey Short Welcome Center offering tours and a breathtaking view over the dam. 6 minutes gets you to Moonshine Beach, a destination in itself. Daily passes are available to this pristinely maintained and equipped white sand, protected swimming area on Table Rock lake.

On Site Amenities

Right up the hill from the cabins, is Tad Pools Activity Center, featuring what has to be the best view from a swimming pool deck in the State of Missouri! Inside Tad Pools, is a lounge area with fireplace, flat screen TV, fitness center, kitchenette, Foosball, Road Race Arcade, Air Hockey, pool table, and assorted games.

All cabins have their own propane grill and deck/patio.   Available for check-out, are movies and Wii games, as well as fishing equipment, soccer balls, volleyballs, footballs, horseshoes, croquet sets, and passes to Moonshine Beach.

Soccer, horseshoes, and volleyball are available for your teams and for the fishermen in the family, there is a LOT more. There is wader access directly to Lake Taneycomo (when water is not too high) and shore fishing directly from the bank. Also, two ponds are stocked with largemouth bass, catfish, and perch making children squeal with delight every time one is caught or they surface to feed. There are several fish weighing more than 5 pounds already and still growing. We have several contracts with award winning fishing guides who can pick you up on site and show you the delights in local Ozarks waters. Whether you want to experience the adventure of walleye, trout, or bass, all you have to do is tell one of the guides to “guide” you.
